ADVISORY BOARD MEETING


In accordance with Article 15, Paragraph 6 of our University's Quality Assurance Directive, an Advisory Board Meeting was held at our Vocational School to evaluate and improve education, research and development, and community contribution activities. During the meeting, sector representatives, stakeholder institution managers, and academic unit heads came together to exchange views on our Vocational School's current work, application areas, and future goals.

The meeting was attended by our Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emre Yavuzer, Niğde Public Education Center Director Orhan Çetin, Rüya Gelinlik company owner Mehmet Avsever, Seel Agency Advertising, Promotion and Organization owner Serdar Güleş, our alumnus and Heybeliler Florist owner Gökhan Heybeli, Faculty of Fine Arts Deputy Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Menekşe Sakarya, our Deputy Director Lecturer M. Murat Adıyaman, Head of Textile, Clothing, Footwear and Leather Department Lecturer Suna Durdu Zor, Head of Handicrafts Department Lecturer Ergün Çevik, and Head of Design Department Lecturer... Lecturer Büşra Taşpunar Küçük and College Secretary Şahin Karatekin participated.

At the opening of the meeting, a general overview was presented regarding the academic and applied education activities carried out by our College in the recent period, collaborations with stakeholders, and student-centered studies. Following this, topics such as the alignment of program outcomes with sector expectations, graduate employment, improving the quality of practical courses, business-university interaction, and contributions to regional development were discussed.

Sector representatives shared their assessments regarding workforce needs and current market dynamics, and offered suggestions for strengthening the practical dimension of the programs. Academic unit heads presented the work carried out on course content, workshop and studio studies, project-based learning processes, and increasing the visibility of student productions.

The meeting concluded with plans to record the opinions and suggestions obtained with the contributions of stakeholder institutions and sector representatives, to evaluate them in the relevant academic units and reflect them in process improvement efforts, and to continue similar consultation meetings at regular intervals in the future.
