Course Objective
Understand the concept of "Smart Grid" that emerges from the transformation of traditional grid systems in all its aspects, and grasp the relationship of smart grid technology with renewable energy sources and its consumer-friendly nature.
Brief Content of the Course
Needs for smart grids, fundamentals, and the supply side of electricity; demand-side aspects, demand economics in supply and energy markets; transmission and distribution networks, system reliability, structures and characteristics of smart grids, and the relationship between smart grid technology and renewable energy sources.
