Course Objective
Basic concepts of food control and legislation. Legal regulations related with food, in Turkey.Factors corrupting the food safety, their effects on health and related legislations.
Brief Content of the Course
This course provides an introduction to food control and legislation. Turkish Food Codex (TGK) and nutritional control in Turkey are discussed. Information about food standards and control criteria is shared. Information is given about contaminants and additives found in foods. Information is given about food control organizations and their roles in food safety.
