Course Objective
The aim of this course is to educate individuals who are sensitive to all forms of discrimination in educational environments and who can adopt and implement an inclusive education approach. The course aims to enable students to explain and evaluate the philosophical foundations of inclusive education, identify the key factors necessary for the effectiveness and success of inclusive practices, understand the importance of collaboration in inclusive education, and explain inclusive teaching and learning processes. In addition, it is intended to develop students’ competencies in designing and implementing instructional arrangements for learners within the context of inclusive education.
Brief Content of the Course
The definition, content and importance of inclusive education; national and international legislation on inclusive education; approach and standards in inclusive education; teacher roles in inclusive education; inclusive curriculum and materials; attitudes and values in inclusive education; inclusive school and classroom; prepare an action plan for inclusive education; planning of inclusive teaching; choice of inclusion and inclusion activities in course materials; course design applications.
