Course Objective
The course aims to equip students with the ability to analyze English texts from various genres and topics from structural, functional, and semantic perspectives and translate them into Turkish, while also developing critical thinking skills.
Brief Content of the Course
Using authentic reading materials from various genres and topics, students will be able to grasp different perspectives; predict sentence connections and the main idea of a text; conduct structural analysis at the sentence and paragraph level; identify and correct sentences and words that disrupt the coherence of a text; use semantic clues between sentences; and translate English-to-Turkish, Turkish-to-English, and English-to-English.ness
