Course Objective
The purpose of the Map Drawing course is to equip students with the skills needed to transfer land survey data onto paper or digital platforms in accordance with technical drawing standards. Through this course, students learn to produce accurate, legible, and standardized maps. Additionally, the use of digital technologies in map production is encouraged, contributing to efficient resource use and reducing environmental impact. In this way, sustainable environmental planning and management are supported.
Brief Content of the Course
Line types, lettering techniques, scale concepts, basic geometric constructions, coordinate systems and point marking methods; point, line, and area calculations; surface forms, contours, slope and elevation calculations. The course also covers map marginal information, plan drawing, parcel representation, site planning and infrastructure design, and sustainable urban planning.
