Course Objective
The aim of the history of political thought course is to provide students with the ability to analyze social and political developments by informing them about the development of political thought.
Brief Content of the Course
Basic concepts related to political thought, the development of political thought, the works and opinions of important political thinkers constitute the content of the course.
Prerequisites
The discussions will be carried out during the period on the important names and concepts of the political thought history starting with Plato and Aristotle and the concept of sovereign state (Machiavelli, Hobbes etc.), constitutional government (Locke), concept of democracy (Rousseau, Tocqueville).
