Course Objective
To introduce the advertisements made in cinema and to teach strategies, features, product placement.
Brief Content of the Course
Since cinema halls are a place where people choose a film of their own volition and go to watch it, the impact levels of the advertisements played before and between the film are different. Individuals who do not have to watch advertisements on television or on the internet are exposed to advertisements in the cinema hall even if they do not want to. This situation proves that cinema is an significant advertising medium for advertisers. Within the scope of the advertising in cinema course, the characteristics, target audiences and strategies of the advertisements played before the film in the cinema halls are discussed, and the issue of product placement in the film within the framework of sub-threshold message transmission is discussed in detail through examples. In addition, advertising studies on sustainability will be examined.
