1Develop students’ ability to translate different literary genres (prose, poetry, drama, fairy tales, anecdotes) while preserving the source text’s style, tone, and narrative voice.
2Equip students with strategies to translate literary devices such as metaphors, similes, irony, idioms, and wordplay in a contextually and semantically appropriate manner.
3Enhance students’ skills in producing fluent, coherent, and cohesive literary translations.
4Enable students to compare different translation approaches and select the most suitable strategy based on text type, purpose, and target audience.
5Strengthen students’ ability to critically evaluate, revise, and edit their literary translations for accuracy, style, and meaning.
6Foster awareness of ethical responsibility and cultural sensitivity in translation, with attention to intellectual property and sustainable translation practices.
