Course Objective
The aim of this course is to help students develop an understanding of the fundamental concepts and processes of linear algebra. It also aims to support the development of the knowledge and skills necessary for applying these concepts and processes to problem situations and effectively using solution methods.
Brief Content of the Course
Vector spaces, subspaces, linear independence, linear combinations; span, basis, and dimension; linear transformations, the kernel and image of a linear transformation; eigenvalues and eigenvectors; characteristic polynomials; diagonalization, inner product spaces, orthogonality of vectors, and orthonormal sets of vectors.
