Course Objective
Is to make the most effective and up-to-date teaching of the fascinating subject of organic chemistry. this will bring more interesting chemistry to the first semester's work and provide greater scope for the accompanying laboratory work.The course will make students able to recognize organic compounds,their structures, chemical and physical properties , their reactivity with respect to their structure , their reactions, synthesis ,how to identify and distinguish these compounds.
Brief Content of the Course
The structure,properties, reactivity and synthesis of each :Aromatic compounds, aldehydes, ketones, carboxylic acids and derivatives, amines, beta-Dicarbonyl Compounds, Phenols, Aryl Halides structure of the properties, and the use of spectrscopic methods in their identification
