Course Objective
The teaching of the technology of production and processing of aggregates and the properties and standards for the different usage areas.
Brief Content of the Course
Igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks used as aggregates; Field studies conducted on aggregates deposits; Production from quarry; Processing of aggregates: crushing, grinding, screening etc.; Description and classification of aggregates; Sampling and tests; Aggregates for concrete, mortar, asphalt etc.
