Course Objective
To be able to have knowledge about the basic concepts of mechanics of fluids mechanics and knowledge of hydrostatics and hydrodynamic principles. 2. Having knowledge about working principles of hydraulic and pneumatic control systems and comprehending its circuits. 3. Designing, setting up and operating a hydraulic circuit in accordance with given criteria.
Brief Content of the Course
Introduction of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, Comparison of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, Basic principles and basic elements of hydraulic and pneumatic systems: Direction, Flow and Pressure Control Valves, Hydraulic Power Units; Pumps, Motors, Cylinders, Hydraulic Fluids, Filter and Sealing Elements, Hydraulic circuit drawing and reading of the unit, Display of hydraulic circuits with standard symbols, Sample circuit drawings, Pneumatic power units; Compressors, motors, cylinders, air conditioners and transmission elements, Pneumatic circuit drawing and reading of the unit, pneumatic circuits with standard symbols, sample circuit drawings, differences between pneumatic circuits and hydraulic circuits, applications and sample designs.
