Course Objective
It is aimed that prospective teachers have knowledge and application skills related to the necessity, importance and scope of science and nature studies in preschool education. Understands sustainable development. Understands the philosophy of sustainability.
Brief Content of the Course
Definition and importance of science education in early childhood; principles and standards in science education; scientific process skills; the nature of science, the techniques and methods of teaching science education concepts and scientific thinking skills; organizing learning centers in science education; science programs used in early childhood education (Wings of Discovery, Tool Kit for early childhood science education, Eller Hamurda); acquisition of basic concepts of science education; science activities planning and practice. Sustainability-focused environmental education events.
