Course Objective
To train landscape architects with the necessary knowledge and skills to empathize with different cognitive and physical individuals and to take an effective role in the creation of barrier-free environments
Brief Content of the Course
Understanding the physical and cognitive differences in individuals, empathy, understanding the relationship between individual characteristics and environmental design, understanding disability groups (blindness, hearing impaired, orthopedically impaired people, interviewing relevant people and institutions for this purpose, improving the ability to observe, concepts related to barrier-free landscape design ( It covers the theoretical and practical knowledge of unimpeded landscape design (in a rural / urban area) on a sample area by examining universal design, design for all, landscape accessibility, etc.) standards, national / international laws and examples.
