Course Objective
The aim of this course is to introduce students to basic nutrients (carbohydrates, fat, protein, minerals, vitamins and water), to teach their functions, to provide general information about feeds and their general properties and nutrient content, to provide general information about the value of feeds and the concepts related to nutrient requirements for farm animals, to provide an introductory knowledge about the principles of ration preparation and to provide students with a general understanding of the animal nutrition-related part of animal production.
Brief Content of the Course
The aim is to provide definitions related to animal nutrition, the digestive systems of different species and their differences, teaching basic nutrients such as carbohydrates, fats, etc., and to gain an initial knowledge about ration preparation methods.
