The 26th Ordinary Meeting of the Deans' Council of Dentistry was hosted by Istanbul University.

The meeting took place on December 19-20, 2024, at the Istanbul University Rectorate Building, Doctoral (D1) Hall, hosted by the Istanbul University Faculty of Dentistry. The meeting began with a moment of silence and the reading of the Turkish National Anthem. In addition to our Founding Chief Dentist Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kevser Kurt Demirsoy, 54 university representatives attended, as well as Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emre Korkut, Deputy Director-General of Health Services at the Ministry of Health, Dt. Mustafa Yenilmez, Head of the Oral and Dental Health Department at the Ministry of Health, and Dt. Fatih Güler, President of the Turkish Dental Association. The opening speeches were delivered by the President of the Deans' Council, Prof. Dr. Zeynep Yeşil, and the academic staff of Istanbul University.

The agenda of the meeting included discussions on the work done with SGK (Social Security Institution), the activities of the education commission, the status of doctoral programs, national dental accreditation processes, and general issues.

After two intense days, the meeting concluded with a tour organized within Istanbul University.
