  1. Lack of articles.
  2. Absence of symposiums held in the department.
  3. Absence of PhD Program.
  4. Absence of faculty been abroad via Erasmus.
  5. Lack of faculty.
  6. Limited social activity.
  7. Absence of team-work realized in the department.
  8. Absence of big book-stores.
  9. Absence of students been abroad via Erasmus.
  10. Distance from the campus.
Opportunities
  1. Gradual increase in Turkish learning need in european Union countries and in the world.
  2. Good communication with other departments and prestige.
  3. Regarding language as a cultural entity.

Threats
  1. Professors do not come to our department.
  2. Construction of our Department has not yet been completed in European standards.
  3. Students from abroad do not come to our department by way of ERASMUS programme.
  4. Lecturers from abroad do not come to our department by way of ERASMUS programme.
  5. Students from other universities do not come to our Department by way of FARABI programme.
  6. Lecturers from the other universities do not come to our Department by way of Erasmus programme
  7. The quality of the students who come to our Department gets lower and lower.
  8. There is not a sufficient budget to support scientific activities.
