Prof. Dr. Murat BARUT was born in Gaziantep in 1973 and completed his primary and secondary school education in Gaziantep. He graduated from Erciyes University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Electronic Engineering in 1995,
-Master's degree in Niğde University, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 1997,
- PhD with the "Siemens Excellence Award" in the Department of Control and Computer Engineering at Istanbul Technical University (ITU) in 2005
-Second PhD in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Alaska Fairbanks in the United States in 2006,
Prof. Dr. Murat BARUT conducted postdoctoral studies with Prof. Dr. Chris Mi at the University of Michigan-Dearborn in the United States of America within the scope of TÜBİTAK 2219 - Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Program between February 2013 and March 2014.
