Dear Students,

Engineering profession is a profession that I am proud to be a member of, and it always reminds me the verbs "to do, to repair, to solve, to discover, to develop and to achieve" which it is integrated with. As Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University, Faculty of Engineering, our goal is to educate engineers who can look at events on global scale, closely follow technology, turn knowledge into production, strive to solve humanity problems, have leading qualifications and serve humanity with R&D studies with ethical values.

Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University, Faculty of Engineering has been making important contributions to science besides educational activities for more than 20 years with many national (TÜBİTAK, SANTEZ, BAP) and international (European Union FP6, UNIDO-ICHET) research and development projects.

There are 10 departments in our faculty. These include the Department of Environment, Electrical-Electronics, Construction, Geology, Mining, Machinery, Mechatronics, Food, and Map, and Computer Engineering Department whose education and training activities has not yet started, but whose preparations are still underway.

We are proud to be an international faculty with students from countries such as Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan and Nigeria as well as with students from all over our country enrolled in day and evening education, undergraduate programs. International student and faculty exchange programs and agreements are another indication of how right we are at living this pride.
