Strong Sides
1. There are enough students and research laboratories.
2. There are graduate and post-graduate programs.
3. Graduate students have more employment opportunities than the ones in other departments.
4. Graduate students reach at the level of working all laboratories.
5. The department can send students to abroad.
6. Integration with different department and fields can be provided.
7. The number of international publication.

Weak Sides
1. Not to be able to host national and international symposiums.
2. There are not enough laboratory instruments and devices and their periodical maintenance fails.
3. The number of the projects is small.
4. There are not enough instructors who have been sent to abroad via Erasmus.

Opportunities
1. There is opportunity to work cooperatively with different disciplines
2. There is opportunity for the instructors of the department to work cooperatively among their own branches
3. There is opportunity to increase much more the number of the publications which have been come out
4. The good communication and respect from the social aspect with all departments
5. There is the capacity to be able to cooperate with universities in abroad

Threats
1. The structuring in the integration of the department into the Bologna process.
2. Students from abroad don’t choose to come to the department via Erasmus.
3. Students of the department don’t have competences to have at least one foreign language; and to be able to use it with the aim of reaching out with colleagues when necessary.
4. Students of the department don’t have enough knowledge about the importance of the basic informatics technology.
