Turkey SiberVatan Program Begins at NOHU: Major Success for Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences Students!

The Niğde leg of the "Turkey SiberVatan Program," conducted across 81 provinces in collaboration with 26 development agencies, has officially launched at Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University (NOHU) in partnership with the Ahiler Development Agency. We are proud to announce that students from our Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences have shown exceptional interest and achieved significant success in the qualifying stages of this visionary program.

Aiming to identify and train the next generation of cybersecurity experts to meet sector demands, the program received approximately 170 applications in Niğde. Following preliminary evaluations and online training, 70 students moved forward. Ultimately, 40 students who successfully mastered Network and Linux modules earned the right to proceed to hands-on, face-to-face training. A significant majority of these successful candidates are students from our Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences, once again proving our faculty's leading role in technology and informatics.

"Strengthening Turkey's Digital Defense Capacity"

Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Hasan Uslu, visited the first stage of training held at the Şehit Ömer Halisdemir Congress and Culture Center. Expressing his pride in hosting such a strategic program, Rector Uslu stated: "As Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University, we are hosting a vital project to train the cybersecurity experts our country needs. This training will not only provide career opportunities for our students but also strengthen Turkey's digital defense capacity."

The face-to-face training modules for CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) will provide students with both theoretical knowledge and practical sectoral skills, with completion targeted for June 2026.

We congratulate all our Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences students who have demonstrated great determination and earned their place in this prestigious program. We wish them continued success as they prepare to become the future defenders of the "Cyber Homeland."
