Strenghts
The presence of Erasmus -Socrates programs at our university,and exchanging of student and academic staff is possible.
Participation in national and international meetings with proclamation is financially supported.
The presence of young and dynamic academic staff
The university's internet infrastructure is sufficient
University library has opportunity to reach the different databases of other universities.
The communication with other departments of university is good.
The communication with Social Organizations is good.
The communication with managers of hospitals is good.
The number of classes is sufficent.
In-service traininng is important.
Cleaning and catering services are executed regularly.
To have the opportunity to hold congress, courses and scientific activity and to participate in the congress at the national level.
To have national and international publications
The communication among academic staff, administrative staff and students is good and students can negotiate whenever they want.

Weaknesses
 It is difficult to create the learning environment according to the learning objectives because the number of students is too much.
As a practical department, the number of students per teacher is too much and these teachers are not the determiners of the number of students in the department.
Consulting is not enough because the number of the students is too much.
The lack of teaching staff in some branches or inadequacy
Graduate education can not be done because of the absence of Institute of Health Sciences .
The conditions to be a faculty haven’t been provided yet.
Workload of academic staff is too much.
The graduates tracking system has not been installed yet.
The cases that students observe are not enough because of the huge number of students, so the technical skills that students will get are restricted.
Lecturers fail to have master and doctoral degrees.
The faculty members don’t have enough time to do activities that contribute to their development because of the teaching load.
The school is out of the campus.

Opportunities 
Nursing is one of the seven occupations which are in the area of health and under the coverage of free movement.
There are scholarship and exchange opportunities in the international arena for students and faculty members.
To be in the exchange projects of European Union.
Lack of job shortages for graduate students, training given in the department is sufficient for public and private health organizations
The school building is located in downtown so the transportation is easy.
The lack of housing problems for students in the province.
The province that the school is located has an easy access to major cities becuse of the geographical location.
The school has strong relationships with local media
The regulations that bring health services under one roof have been made.
Being in the process of integration into the European Union and this will bring opportunities.
The lack of nursing law in our country.

Threats
High-level-success students don’t prefer our department because of the physical and geographical location of the city.
Limited social activities
Clinical practice and field practice areas are shared with other organizations offering health education.
The exam system is changing constantly.
The lack of health facilities in the province especially 3rd Step (Training and Research Hospital, University Hospital)
Due to the attractiveness of the opportunities provided to employees from health institutions, the number of transitions from academic staff to the health institutions has increased.
Getting students from different departments via vertical transitions.
In terms of health centers and hospitals, the infrastructure of health institutions is not sufficient so the students have problems about internships and application field.
Due to the disorganization of the application areas the students can not be observed continuously during applications.
The salary of academic staff is not sufficient.
The conditions of examination necessary for an academic career are becoming difficult so staffing is difficult.
Students don’t have enough guidance for choosing professions at OSYS
Lack of support and contribution to the training of local people.
