Under the supervision of Dr. Fazli WAHID, the bachelor students (24) at the Department of Plant Production and Technologies performed an activity of vermicompost preparation, which is a successful step towards the conversion of farm yard manure, organic and kitchen wastes into a valuable organic fertilizer. Compared to commercial fertilizers, it is expected that the application and marketing of current vermicompost will prove itself as a useful technology for improving soil quality, nutrients uptake and  plants performance in alkaline soil of Nigde.
