The Department of Land Registry and Cadastre was established with the letter of the Higher Education Executive Board dated 25.04.2018 and numbered E.33502. ). As of 2020-2021 academic year, it will start to take its first students (40 students).
Our department trains the Land Registry and Cadastre Technicians required by the public and private sectors. Graduates of the department graduate with an associate degree and gain the right to continue their undergraduate programs with their Vertical Exam.
Architecture and Urban Planning Department Land Registry and Cadastre Program is a 2-year program consisting of 4 semesters, each worth 30 ECTS. An ECTS refers to the student's 30-hour workload for each semester. The academic staff of the department consists of 1 proficient academic staff and 3 lecturers. There is 1 Application Unit of the department.
In the program, associate students take the subjects of title deed legislation, title deed registry application, and measurement knowledge in addition to basic science courses such as Professional Mathematics, Basic Law, and Management Science. In the second year, they take Real Estate Valuation, Computer Aided Map Making, Field Law Courses and elective courses to specialize. The students graduate at the end of the second grade with the title of Land Registry and Cadastre Technician.
Land Registry and Cadastre associate degree program is a 2-year program consisting of 120 ECTS credits. The program, Bologna process "in higher education EQF Top Frame (QF-EHEA)" second stage as defined in the (second cycle) and "Turkey Higher Education Qualifications Framework (TYYÇ)" in shareholders' defined "Level 5" is set for the adequacy ECTS credit terms and level qualifications; it also provides the "Level 5" qualifications defined in the "European Lifelong Learning Qualifications Framework (EQF-LLL)".
Admission Requirements
Turkish students are placed in the Land Registry and CadastreProgram according to their preference order in the TYT score type of Higher Institutions Exam conducted by the Student Selection & Placement Center (ÖSYM). In addition, our Department has the First Student Quota.

Recognition of Previous Learning
Based on the principle of lifelong learning, Niğde University recognizes courses previously taken in another institution and exempts from the graduation credit if the learning outcomes of these courses are compatible with those of the program registered at Niğde University. The compliance of the learning outcomes and exemption issues are decided by the School Board in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations.

Students who successfully complete this program are admitted to the upper level in the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) Entrance Exam held by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) based on their scores in the relevant fields.

Exams:
How successful the students in achieving the predicted learning outcomes of each course unit in the Land Registry and Cadastre Program curriculum is measured by in-term activities and final exams at the end of each semester.
Evaluation of the activities in the semester includes the minimum number of midterm exams and a homework as compulsory evaluation methods for all courses in the associate degree programs determined by the regulation.
Programs are encouraged to define more evaluation methods in the activities within the semester depending on the need to measure the success of the results at the program and course level in order to provide educational goals and objectives. The quality and number of evaluation methods used for each course are given under the heading "Assessment and Evaluation" in the descriptions of the courses along with their contribution to the final grade. These arrangements are announced in advance at the beginning of each semester and course descriptions sections are published on the website.
Midterm and General exams are held at the dates, places and times determined and announced by the university. Students 'semester grades are given by the lecturers by taking into consideration the students' attendance requirement based on the midterm exam, homework evaluation, quizzes, general exam and other evaluation results, if any.
The contribution of the in-term activities in determining the final grade can be maximum 40%, and the contribution of the final exam will be at least 40% and maximum 60% for all courses in all associate degree programs determined by the Regulation.
Courses such as job placement that do not require a midterm, homework or general exam are determined by the management of the relevant departments, and certain assessment and grading methods for these courses are announced through the channels described above. The evaluation of such activities is done in line with the principles set by the Senate and evaluated as Successful or Failed.
Evaluation:
The success of a student is evaluated by the instructor for each assessment (in-term studies and final) defined for each course. The assessment is made over 100 full points and at the end of the semester, using the standard assessment method, the principles of which are determined by the Senate, taking into account the standard deviation and converted into grade point average of the class.
