1-To be able to explain the theoretical and methodological relationships between musicology and other disciplines (anthropology, sociology, cultural studies, etc.).

2-To be able to identify scientific research methods and techniques used in musicology.

3-To be able to present the results obtained at the end of the research process in written (research report, paper, thesis, article, etc.) and oral (seminar, symposium, congress, etc.).

4-To be able to play at least 1 instrument with tonal (piano, guitar, etc.) or modal / modal features (bağlama, oud, classical kemençe, etc.) at a level that can vocalize.

5-To be able to follow and evaluate international literature related to the field by using a foreign language.

6-To be able to outline the cultural, stylistic and technical characteristics of transnational (Western art music, mainstream popular music, etc.) and national (modal/modal) music practices.

7-To be able to adapt the scientific and artistic achievements obtained at the end of the education to different fields of study related to music (music writing, performance, education, program production, etc.).

8-To be able to contribute to scientific progress at national and international level by being open to new directions in the scientific field, adopting the principle of lifelong learning, being aware of the social and cultural effects of musicological studies.
