   Our Directorate of Construction and Technical Works constantly works and researches in order to improve the quality of service by providing the technology, the construction and the necessary infrastructure which supply the best service for the students who receive education in our University, our academic staff and our administrative staff. In accordance with the Mission and the Vision of our Directorate, we take care of our liabilities on bringing better service to our students, who are the guarantee of our future, in terms of Education, Social, Cultural and livable Campuses and also we take care of the use of the funds in an economic, transparent and accountable way and as aware of the responsibility that our Government and our public have given us. In parallel with the changing structural technological changes, we work to make realthe enduring, qualified, rapid, aesthetic and modern construction systems in order to serve as a model university for the environment and the public in terms of both underground and aboveground construction.

1.1. History
   Our department, which was established in 1992 with the law numbered 3887, started its activities in 1994 in order to perform its functions.Our unit  has been carrying on its activities in various buildings and areas through the years;  likein the building of the Faculty of Education in 1994, in the building allocated in the Organized Industrial Site between 1994-1998, in the Former Rector's Office and Central Units Building in 1998, in the Rector's Office and Central Units Building in our Central Campus since October 2008. Within our department , we have  1 Head of Department (Electronic Eng.), 4 Civil  Engineers, 1 Architect, 2 Electrical-Electronics Engineer, 3 Mechanical Engineers, 1 Geomatic  Engineer, 1 Environmental Engineer, 2 Construction Technicians, 2 Electrical Technicians, 1 Woodwork Technician, 2 Telephone Technicians, 3 Electric Technicians, 1 Mechanical Technician, 1 Furniture Technician, 2 Computer Operator, 2 Officers.

1.2.The Structure and the Duties of the Unit
   The duties of our Department of Construction and Technical Affairs, established in accordance with the “Decree Law on Higher Education Institutions with the Number 124 and the Administrative Organization of Higher Education Institutions”, which regulates the principles regarding the establishment and duties of administrative organizations established in accordance with Article 51 of the Higher Education Law No. 2547;

1. To implement and coordinate the project studies of the building and facilities belonging to our university.

2. By preparing tender files , to carry out the tenders concerning the construction and repairs.

3. To organize progress billings  by performing Construction Control of the tendered projects , to carry out  the acceptance procedures of the completed projects.

4. To carry out maintenance and repair works of finished and in service buildings and existing buildings.

5. Coordinating the landscaping projects in the central campus and other campus areas of our university and to ensure the campus areas to operate  according to the layout plan.

6. To carry out  the maintenance and repair of the plumbing systems of the buildings in service.

7. To carry out the maintenance and repair of our university's telephone system and telephone exchanges.

8. To carry out land allocation studies by following the development of our university campus area.

9. To prepare, monitor and implement our University Investment Program and the construction investment budget for this program in education, sports and health sectors.
