PROGRAM OUTCOMES 1- To develop awareness of acting in accordance with the rules of academic and professional ethics, to have high public and social awareness, to be able to work and to take responsibility with environmental and sustainability awareness, to be able to transfer their knowledge effectively by gaining lifelong learning skills. 2- To be able to approach discipline-specific developments and problems from a creative perspective, to be able to make and implement effective decisions individually and independently with the problem-solving ability gained. 3- To gain the ability to cooperate with multicultural and interdisciplinary teams and to adapt to teamwork. 4- To have the ability to design original research, collect and analyze data, and conduct scientific research in the field by using qualitative and quantitative research methods of social sciences in accordance with scientific ethical values. 5- To be able to analyze the international system, states, international law, international organizations and other actors, to evaluate the interactions of these actors and to comprehend the dynamics in international politics. 6- To be able to analyze the political, economic, social and cultural structure, historical background and role of different regions such as Europe, America, Middle East and Eurasia in international relations. 7- To have the competence to evaluate current and interdisciplinary issues such as green and digital transformation, climate change, gender, cyber security, space law and policies, democracy and human rights in the context of sustainable development goals using an analytical framework and to follow new trends emerging in these issues. 8- To be capable of following technological developments, innovative practices and digital tools in the field and to communicate in English at a basic and intermediate level in the professional field and to understand professional texts. (Outcomes Specific to the Political Science and International Relations Program) 9- Understanding and knowing the basic concepts, theories, methodologies and principles of the discipline of Political Science and International Relations. 10- Having the competence to analyze contemporary social and political events, understand how different political systems, inter-state relations and the basic dynamics of the international system are shaped. 11- Having the ability to make explanations about the causes of current issues in international relations, to analyze the effects of the globalizing world on foreign policy and inter-state relations; to read interdisciplinary connections such as economics, public administration, law and sociology. 12- Having knowledge of basic courses specific to the program such as history of civilizations, history of political thought, political history, comparative political systems, international political economy, international law, Turkish foreign policy, diplomatic history, EU-Turkey relations. |
