The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of Nigde Ömer Halisdemir University started its education program in 1994-1995 academic year with Master of Science and in 1995-1996 academic year department accepted its first undergraduate students. PhD program has been active since 2006.

Department has 21 young and talented academic staff (2 Professor, 2 Associate Professors, 6 Assistant Professors, 1 Teaching Staff and 10 Teaching Assistants). A one year of English preparation class is compulsory and 30% of the courses in our curriculum offered in English.
