Compulsory ATA1015 ATATURK'S PRINCIPLES AND REVOLUTION HISTORY I 2 0 2
In this context, our couse's aim and manifesto are; Revolution and the concepts relevont to Revolution, decadence of Ottoman Empire, Reforms at the Ottoman Empire in XIX century, Opinion movements oriented saving the Ottoman Empire at the last period, the situation of Ottoman Empire in the beginning of XX century, the situation of the country after Mondros Armistice, the period of preparation national mavement, Opening of the Turkish Grand National Assembly and its studies, the political and military developments after opening the Turkish Grand National Assembly Lausanne Treaty, its importance and its results.

Explaining the definition and content of the course with examples. Examination of the basic elements of painting, line types and relationships and linear expression in nature and art with examples and making various applications. Ratio, proportion and composition information to transfer. Explaining the importance of light and shadow in seeing objects and making applications related to the subject. Examination of elements such as contrast, rhythm, balance and form in visual expression with examples and making application studies using drawing tools such as pencil, charcoal pencil and charcoal. These applications are examples that contribute to sustainability.

This course examines the fundamental concepts of art history, exploring the historical evolution of the notions of “art” and “artist.” It conveys to students that art is not merely an aesthetic creation, but a form of expression shaped by cultural, social, political, and environmental contexts. Starting from prehistoric periods, the course adopts a chronological approach to study artworks produced by different civilizations, including Mesopotamia, Ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome, as well as the Middle Ages, Renaissance, Baroque, Modern, and Contemporary periods. The formal characteristics of these works, the materials used, production techniques, and their relation to the values of the societies in which they were created are analyzed. Moreover, the course discusses the relationship between artworks and the natural environments of their time, the sustainability of resources used, and historical approaches to preserving cultural heritage. By evaluating how art reflects cultural diversity and has evolved over time, students develop the ability to understand the historical foundations of contemporary artistic practice.

The practical use of Photoshop and vector-based design programs is taught. Students develop environmentally friendly color palettes, designs suitable for recyclable materials, and visual communication solutions that support sustainable development goals in graphic design projects.

To enable the student to recognise, arrange and transform the Technique, Tools, Equipment, Materials into images, to ensure the development of observation fiction, research volunteerism, selection, comprehension, understanding, finding the basic character, simplification, separation-compound production, correction-completion, solving and transforming, integration with meaning, animation and designing features. It is also aimed to reflect sustainability to applications.

Use of the verb To Be; Possessive adjectives; Nouns (countable-uncountable, singular-plural); adjectives; order structures; Aorist; prepositions of time and place; Now; Sentences made with can; Pronouns; Past tense; Using Was/Were; Days of the week as vocabulary; numbers from 1 to 100; country names; colors; requently used adjectives; profession names; month names; words related to family; Weather and seasons are the structures and words taught in this period.

Basic Elements and Principles of Visual Language: Point, line, shape, color, rhythm, balance, form, volume, contrast, etc. In addition, practical work is carried out based on the concept of sustainability.

The written expression forms such as;Phrases,true, side and metaphoric meanings of words, idioms,doublings,terms, language mistakes, sentence structure of Turkish, sentence elements, novels, articles, essays and poems, and types of expression such as; presentation, examples of reports and records, petitions , business letter and Curriculum Vitae (CV) writing, conversation and discussion.
Compulsory YDL1014 FOREIGN LANGUAGE II 3 0 3
The lesson includes the topics which are based on FL1 Course and the continuation of these topics (Present Continuous, adverbs of manner, comparison of adjectives, superlative adjectives, prefer + noun/ ing form, will, Present Perfect, have to/ don’t have to, wh- questions, be going to for intentions and plans, infinitive of purpose, verbs + infinitive/-ing form etc.) for students in order to have the ability to understand daily sentences and frequently used expressions ( information about themselves, their families, business and neighbourhood environment, shopping etc.) , to directly and easily convey understandable, known and familiar topics in basic and routine situations, to directly explain their situations oriented to themselves, their educations, their neighbourhoods and basic needs with simple expressions.

In this course, basic photography knowledge is developed and practical exercises are carried out with the aim of improving photography skills. In addition, photography and practical exercises are carried out in light of current technical developments in the art of photography.
Compulsory GRA2005 TYPOGRAPHY I 2 2 5
It covers the fundamental concepts of typography, its historical development, and its function in communication. Theoretical and practical studies are conducted on letter structure, point size, spacing, and typefaces. The impact of typographic layout on readability and meaning is examined. Within the scope of the course, the environmental impacts of typographic production processes are evaluated in the context of sustainability, encouraging conscious design approaches.

After emphasizing the birth of mythology and the content of iconography, within the scope of Ancient Greek Mythology; information will be given about the creation of the universe, the names, symbols and duties of the gods, death, mythological heroes, human and myths in Turkish Mythology.

History of writing and terms. Presentations about typefaces and their designers. Historical development of the Latin alphabet, letter anatomy, structural features of the letter, calligraphy studies with a sharp-tipped pen and calligraphy studies with a brush.

Kilin biçimlenebilme özelliğini kullanarak obje etütleri, organik soyutlama, deformasyon ve stilizasyon ile bireysel üslup oluşturmaya katkı sağlanır. Aynı karakterli formlarla oluşturulan üç boyutlu düzenlemeler, sanatsal formlar yapılır.
