Art is the effort to examine, perceive, sense, question the aesthetical aspects of human, and reach the beauty that is between the man and object. Art also facilitates social changes; keeps the individuals’ competences of understanding, thinking, perceiving open, and activates their emotional aspects. Art is the way that is being able to realize socialization, sustain and pass the values to the next generations, and make them understand the predecessors. That would be possible by the unique and original “Art Education”.

The aim of establishing the Faculty of Fine Arts in our university being aware of the meaning and value of art in social and personal life is to protect, develop, and pass our own culture and art to the subsequent generations, to educate well-equipped artistic individuals who can search, analyse, tolerate the every kind of reason and behaviour, be open to the different and new ideas, and internalize the culture and civilisation.

In the every departments of the Faculty of Fine Arts, educating artists who are competent and well-informed at different branches, and making indigenous perception of art has universal values are aimed. Goal of the fine art education is to release the creative power, strengthen the intuition, building skills to the students within the scope of scientific methods that consist of searcing, performing, experiencing, examining, and concluding.

Our purpose is to contribute to social development by enhancing higher-level artistic joy, and training the educatory and responsible art-producers and competent staff while we meet the substantive and moral needs of society. Meanwhile, we aim to educate artist who can add cross-cultural dimension to the universal and indigenous arts.

Moreover, through the social and cultural activities that are planned to perform, we empower the bonds between art and community, and infuse irreplaceable existence of art into the all segment of society; become educational institution training creative, modern, possessing universal ideas and values, free, and unique individuals.
