Program Outcomes

  1. Explains and compares classical/contemporary theoretical approaches, fundamental research methods and applications pertaining to the primary sub-fields of psychology
  2. Explains the fundamental theories and concepts of disciplines closely related to psychology (sociology, anthropology, philosophy, mathematics, biology) and establishes their relationship with psychology
  3. Conducts research design, data collection, data analysis, interpretation and reporting processes in accordance with scientific standards by utilizing appropriate research methodologies
  4. Performs basic-level applications (measurement, assessment, interviews, etc.) related to the applied fields of psychology
  5. Utilizes information technologies frequently employed in the field of psychology
  6. Accesses and interprets new information in light of acquired theoretical knowledge
  7. Conducts individual and team work within the discipline or interdisciplinary contexts, recognizing the contribution of psychology's fundamental approach and perspective to other disciplines
  8. Identifies deficiencies in accordance with the requirements of professional life and develops oneself through activities such as literature monitoring and in-service training
  9. Engages in critical thinking while following psychology literature and information disseminated through popular media
  10. Shares knowledge, ideas and thoughts in the field of psychology with both experts and non-experts, verbally and in writing, utilizing information and communication technologies when necessary
  11. Monitors, analyzes and interprets the process of a psychological phenomenon or event
  12. Utilizes knowledge and skills acquired in the field of psychology in research and applications with consideration for societal contribution
  13. Conducts psychological research and applications within the framework of boundaries and responsibilities, with adherence to professional ethical principles, respect for individual and cultural differences, universal values and human rights
