1. To know the development and history of Turkish Language and Literature from the beginning until today
2. To have the basic knowledge and skills to make research and study in the field of Turkish Dialects and Literature
3. To be able to use Turkish in the best way and gain the ability to express himself/herself
4. To have an enhanced sensitivity and pleasure on language and literature
5. To have knowledge and skills for reading, writing and understanding literary texts written in ancient letters and alphabet which except for latin alphabet
6. To know the historical and contemporary Turkish dialects and accents at the basic level.
7. To be able to compile and do research in the field of folklore.
8. To have access to texts related to oral descriptions in Turkish Folk Literature and to have knowledge of them
9. To have the basic knowledge and skills to do research and study in the field of Turkish Dialects and Literatures at the academic level
10. To have the ability to access information related to Turkish Dialects and Literature by using the Internet and libraries
11. To have ability and knowledge to be able to do research projects related to Turkish Dialects and Literatures
