PROGRAM OUTCOMES OF THE DEPARTMENT
To
be able to develop knowledge and skills related to general culture, field
knowledge and professional formation which are necessary to provide effective
religious service at individual and social level.
Interdisciplinary
study skills in religious sciences.
The
ability to define, construct, evaluate and propose solutions to individual,
social and global events and problems in line with the data of religious and
social sciences.
The
ability to recognize children, youth, adults and the elderly, who are the
target audience of formal and non-formal religious education, according to
their biological, psychological, social and religious development
characteristics, and to present religious teachings with appropriate methods
and techniques.
The
ability to act in a sense of personal and social responsibility and to comply
with professional ethics in research on religious sciences.
By
raising awareness of national and religious values, to ensure that social
customs and traditions are recognized and kept alive, away from superstitions.
To
be able to develop a sense of belonging and consciousness regarding our
historical and cultural heritage by comprehending the Islamic Culture and
Civilization formed in the historical process with its original qualities.
Providing
religious counseling and guidance for people who constitute the disadvantaged
group of the society (disabled people, prisoners, sick and old people, widows
and orphans).
To
be able to form a lifelong learning philosophy depending on the developments
and problems in the social field.
The
ability to follow up-to-date knowledge and developments in the field and to use
them in solving problems, along with historical knowledge of the sciences of
religion.
The
feeling and ability to represent his profession in the society in parallel with
the education and training he received.
To
be able to read and understand religious texts from their original sources.
To
be able to report all kinds of individual, social, even global, philosophical,
social, psychological and religious problems by using basic resources, by
making scientific research, analysis and synthesis.
