2019-2020 ACADEMİC YEAR MEVLANA EXCHANGE PROGRAMME

           The applications of incoming/outgoing students and academic staffs will be received for 2019-2020 academic year according to exchange program provisions of the signed agreements with higher education institutions abroad within the scope of Mevlana Exchange Programme.

                                           GENERAL INFORMATION

  1. Associate degree and bachelor's degree student and master and doctorate student in preparation and scientific preparation can’t get benefit this program for their first semester education.
  1. 1 Semester (1 semester is equal 4 months) will be able to go with grant budget.  Applicants who would like to go two semesters will be able to go for one semester with grant.  The other semester will not be granted budget.
  2. Grade point average transformation table of the Council of Higher Education (YOK) is taken as basis.
  1. Students who will go to abroad shouldn’t be citizen of the related country and who will come to our university from abroad shouldn’t be citizen of the Republic of Turkey. 
  1. Foreign citizen students who would like to apply to go to abroad for higher education institutions shouldn’t be scholarship student of Turkey.
  1. Foreign citizen students who would like to apply to go to abroad for higher education institutions shouldn’t be scholarship of the Council of Higher Education (YOK).  
  1. Students must have at least 50 score out of 100 from one of the TOEFL,YDS or any equivalent exam. Students who don’t have one of these documents are required to take

Foreign Language Proficiency Examination of Mevlana Exchange Programme which will be organized by the Institution Co-ordination Office and should be successful in this exam. Minimum score of the Foreign Language Proficiency Examination will be determined by the Evaluation Commission.

After the universities are informed by the office the academic staff who will benefit from the exchange program is responsible for conducting all transactions correspondence himself / herself.

                                          Application Criterias
 

 

For Incoming / Outgoing Students:

a) The student must be enrolled an associate, bachelor, master or doctorate degree in higher education programs given formal education,

b) Associate degree and undergraduate students must have at least two and half out of four the overall academic grade point average,

              c) Master and PhD degree students must have at least three out of four the overall academic grade point average,


            For Incoming / Outgoing Academic Staff:

            Incoming academic staff must be permanent academic staff of the related university.

            Outgoing Academic Staff; According to the decision of the Council of Higher Education (YOK), dated 25.02.2015 and numbered 2015.8, it has been decided that the Mevlana Exchange mobility for outgoing academic staff to the higher education institutions abroad will be stopped from the 2015-2016 academic year till second decision.

         The incoming students who will apply from the higher education institutions from abroad should send their application documents to the e-mail address of Mevlana Exchange Program Coordinator    mevlana@ohu.edu.tr

         The registered students of the Nigde Omer Halisdemir University will submit application documents to Mevlana Exchange Program Coordinator Office personally without missing document.  The application form should be filled in the computer.

Evaluation of Applications

        For students

        The weighted grade point calculates from 50% of the grade point average and 50% of the language score of language which will use in the education at the higher education institutions, according to these average students are selected by ranking.

        For Incoming Staff

         It is evaluated according to the quotas for countries determined by the Council of Higher Education (YOK) and their academic studies


                                Announcement for Results

         The result list determined by the Evaluation Commission of Nigde Omer Halisdemir University is sent to the Council of Higher Education (YOK) for final decision. The final participants are determined within the budget and quota allocated for our university by the Council of Higher Education (YOK). The final decision of the Council of Higher Education (YOK) will be announced in main page of Nigde Omer Halisdemir University.

   Visa and Insurance Transactions

    (Student and Academic Staff)

 

       Travel details and visa procedures are at the participant's own risk. Visa and insurance procedures will be conducted and financed by the student and academic staff. However, guidance, assistance and support are provided by the Institutional Coordination Office in these matters.
