It was established in the 1986-1987 academic year under the name Tourism Program. It was included within the scope of the Vocational Schools Development Project in the 2001-2002 academic year and was named Tourism and Hotel Management Program. In 2009, the Tourism and Hotel Management Program was transformed into the Tourism and Hotel Management Program affiliated with the Hotel, Restaurant and Catering Services Department. There is 1 Assost. Prof. and 2 lecturers in our program.

55 students are accepted every year. As of the 2023-2024 academic year, education continues with a total of 135 students. Students who complete their internship training along with compulsory and elective courses receive the title of Tourism and Hotel Management Professional Personnel. The Tourism and Hotel Management undergraduate program aims to best prepare our students for lower and middle level management positions in the tourism sector.

It is designed to meet the current needs of the industry as well as its development, and aims to prepare students for the future while directing them to produce creative and innovative ideas. With the advantage of the training program supported by the application, students will have the opportunity to choose from a wide range of career options in the tourism sector after graduation.

Students graduating from our department;
Although our graduates working at various levels in the tourism sector are requested by many tourism enterprises, they also take the DGS exams and gain knowledge in Business Administration, Business Informatics, Business Management, Business-Economy, Hospitality Management, Accommodation and Tourism Management, Tourism Management, Tourism Management and Hotel Management, Tourism and Hotel Management. and can make vertical transfer to Tourism and Hotel Management departments. If they are successful in the KPSS exams, they can also work in the public sector.

Those who successfully complete the department are awarded an associate degree.
Students studying at Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University may be exempt from some courses according to the Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University Associate and Undergraduate Education and Examination regulations. In order to be exempt from courses, students must apply for exemption from courses within the specified periods and receive approval from the college administrative boards.
In order to graduate, candidates must successfully complete the courses available in the program (120 ECTS in total); They are required to obtain a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 and complete their internship for 60 (sixty) working days.
Exams held at Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University are held in accordance with the Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University Associate and Undergraduate Education and Examination regulations in accordance with the student workload in the Bologna process.
