Services Provided Under the Coordination of the Youth Advisory Center 

Services provided to students and staff in line with the objectives determined by the Youth Advisory Center Coordination;

A. To help students adapt to university life

Conducting risk analyzes to determine the services to be provided to protect the bio-psycho-social and mental health of newly enrolled students,

To provide necessary support to students in the determined risk group through individual or group counseling and psycho-training,

To provide students with information about the university, the program and the social life at the university through orientation programs to be organized,

Giving conferences and seminars to students on topics such as communication, problem solving, and coping with stress and organizing psycho-trainings in small groups,

B. To support students to increase their academic success,

1.To identify factors that may negatively affect the student's academic success (stress, ineffective use of time, inefficient study methods, adaptation and coping problems, etc.),

2. To support students in successfully managing these factors through individual interviews,

C. To contribute to the protection and development of their physical health,

1.To organize training programs for the prevention of common diseases and contamination,

2. To gain adequate and balanced nutrition habits,

3. To provide hygiene habits necessary for individual and social life,

4. To prevent smoking, alcohol etc addictions and help those who are addicted to their treatment,

5. To prepare information, training and communication materials on issues that cause addiction for students.

D. To contribute to meeting the needs of students in the field of reproductive health/sexual health,

To determine the information needs of university students on reproductive and sexual health and to organize activities to meet these needs,

To provide consultancy services to students about reproductive and sexual health,

To prepare information and educational materials for students about reproductive and sexual health.

E.To contribute to the protection and development of mental health,

1. To determine the risks affecting the mental health of students, the needs, services and activities needed to protect their mental health,

2. To provide the necessary support to students in the determined risk group through individual and group counseling and psycho-training,

3. To give conferences and seminars to students on topics such as communication, problem solving and to conduct psycho-education in small groups,

4. To prevent addictive habits such as smoking, alcohol and substance use, and behavioral addiction,

5. To implement treatment programs in cooperation with secondary health services, protecting the privacy and personal data of students who have a habit of using substances (cigarettes, alcohol, etc.).

F. To protect and improve the bio-psycho-social health of academic and administrative staff,

1.To provide psycho-education and consultancy services to ensure that academic and administrative staff adapt to the university and increase their academic success.

 2-To provide psycho-education and consultancy services to solve the bio-psycho-social problems of academic and administrative staff regarding their work, family, university and social life.

3-To help academic and administrative staff recognize the bio-psycho-social problems they experience and to develop mechanisms to solve the problems,

     G. To direct academic and administrative staff and students to secondary health units for bio-psycho-social and mental health, reproductive health and sexual health issues that require treatment.
