Turks and the Harp
A conference on "Turks and Harp" was held by our university at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences Conference Hall. Director of Turkish Music State Conservatory Assoc. Dr. Feyzan Vural was a speaker in the program, our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Yıldırım, academic and administrative staff and students attended.
Assoc. Dr. At the beginning of the conference, which started with reading the biography of Feyzan Vural, the basic features of the harp and the harp subjects in world history were discussed. Assoc. Dr. Vural, continued his presentation by examining the harp location and history of Turkish music history, contemporary harp and çeng instruments used in Turkey, çeng and uses of the Ottoman and Seljuk eras, çeng origins, the Uighurs were emphasized during the harp varieties.

Drums in the Turkic World from the Perspective of Social Semiotics
The conference on "Drums in the Turkish World from the Perspective of Social Semiotics" organized by our university was held in the Conference Hall of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences.

In the conference, after emphasizing the links of the study with Musicology, General Turkish History, Linguistics, Sociology and Art History, the flat and semantic appearances of the "drum" instrument in Turkish society were examined.
The importance of drums in the Old Turkish Faith, drums in cam ceremonies, the reflection of Turkish mythology on drums, drums as a political symbol in Turkish states, the place of drums in Turkish military music, the use of drums in entertainment, hunting and races were presented in the light of historical documents, accompanied by videos and visuals.
