Meetings were held with first-, second-, third-, and fourth-year students of the Biosystems Engineering Department as part of an active academic advising system on 14.10.2026. These meetings aimed to support the students' academic development, identify challenges encountered during their educational journey, and assess their needs regarding university life.
During the meetings, discussions were held concerning course registration, elective course selection, academic performance, attendance requirements, and graduation processes. Furthermore, the students' requests and suggestions regarding educational activities were heard, and the academic or administrative issues they faced were evaluated. Depending on their year of study, students were provided with information on initiatives to support their academic growth, as well as guidance on career planning, internship opportunities, and professional development.
These meetings were intended to strengthen communication between students and their academic advisors, more effectively identify student needs, and foster a solution-oriented advising process. Plans are in place to evaluate the feedback and suggestions shared during these sessions and to implement improvements where deemed necessary.
