“Fruit Tree Pruning Training” was Held in Our Faculty


Nigde Omer Halisdemir University Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies, Nigde National Education Directorate Lifelong Learning Services Center, Alma-Ata Technical Agriculture and our University Ayhan Sahenk Agricultural Application and Research Center Farmer Education Coordination Office organized "Fruit Tree Pruning Training" in our faculty's application gardens between 23.01.2025 and 29.01.2025 with the participation of our staff and students.

Lettuce harvest took place in our Faculty Plant Production and Technologies Research and Application Greenhouse.


Our Faculty, which offers both theoretical and practical education and training opportunities to its students with its applied education model, puts what they have learned into practice in the application area and prepares our students for the sector.

Our faculty's Agricultural Genetic Engineering department 4th year students made a technical trip to Ankara Field Crops Central Research Institute, Turkey Seed Gene Bank, Biotechnology Research Center and Seed Registration and Certification Center Directorate within the scope of TGM4001-Seed Science and Technology course.

"Dean-Student Meeting" Held


The “Dean-Student Meeting” program was held in our faculty conference hall on 04.12.2024. The program, which was held with the participation of our faculty dean Prof. Dr. Ahmet ŞEKEROĞLU, vice dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zeynep ÜNAL, faculty secretary Harun ÇOBO and our faculty academicians and students, started with the information about the activities our dean's office has done and will do. Our dean's office, which stated that the programs organized in cooperation with student clubs and our faculty will increase even more, also emphasized the importance of participating in these activities.

A Technical Visit to the GrowTech International Agricultural Fair was Held


As the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies, a technical trip was organized to the GrowTech International Agricultural Fair, which hosted more than 600 participants from 26 countries, in order to enable our students to closely experience the developments in the field of agriculture, to gain information and to find internship/job opportunities from participating companies.

“Looking for Future Agricultural Engineers” Program Has Started!


The opening ceremony of our “Looking for Future Agricultural Engineers” program, prepared in collaboration with Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University, Niğde Provincial Directorate of National Education, our University’s Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies and our University’s Ayhan Şahenk Agricultural Application and Research Center, has been held. In this program, where we will host two high schools from Niğde province at our Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies every week and introduce them to our Faculty, our Departments and the Agricultural Engineering profession, we first hosted Remide Yılmaz Atabek Anatolian High School and Hacı Zekiye Arslan Anatolian High School.

Our Esteemed Graduate, Mr. Alperen ÖZTÜRK, who completed his Master's Degree in Japan and is also the President of IAAS World, shared his experiences at our faculty.

From Our Producing University to Tables: 200 Tons of Apple Harvest


The harvest of apples grown in the production application areas of our Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies Application Center was carried out with the participation of our Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Uslu, faculty management, academic staff and students. Approximately 200 tons of harvest was obtained from the apple garden planted on an area of ​​35 decares.
