Sinop Üniversitesi ev sahipliğinde ve Üniversitemizin iş birliğinde düzenlenen 8. Uluslararası Anadolu Tarım, Gıda, Çevre ve Biyoloji Kongresi (TARGİD 2026), Türkiye ile birlikte 33 farklı ülkeden 284 bilim insanı ve araştırmacının katılımıyla başarıyla gerçekleştirildi.

The second annual NOHUTOK Student Congress, organized by the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies at Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University, with the participation of the Agricultural Genetic Engineering, Plant Production and Technologies, Animal Production and Technologies, and Biosystems Engineering departments, was successfully held on June 3-4, 2026.

Agricultural Research and Education Cooperation Discussions Held Between Kazakhstan and Turkey


Academicians from the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University (KazNARU), one of Kazakhstan's leading higher education institutions, visited the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies at Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University to evaluate opportunities for educational, research, and academic cooperation between the two institutions.

Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies Students' Morale-Boosting Picnic Before Final Exams


On June 4, 2026, a morale-boosting picnic was organized for our faculty students in Niğde City Forest to provide motivation before their final exams. 22 students participated in the event, along with 5 academic staff members: Prof. Dr. Ayhan Ceyhan, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zeynep Ünal, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Burak Şen, Dr. Mutlu Bulut, and Dr. Salim Aktürk. In total, 27 people attended the event, where faculty members and students came together outdoors to relieve the fatigue of the semester; creating a productive environment that allowed students to socialize and strengthen internal faculty communication by relieving exam stress. Furthermore, plaques were presented to our students who participated in the 19th National Animal Science Student Congress in recognition of their dedicated work.

MİLLİ MİRASIMIZA GÜÇLÜ KAPANIŞ: NİĞDE’NİN GENETİK HAZİNESİ GELECEĞE TAŞINIYOR


Niğde Ömer Halisdemir Üniversitesi, şehir ve ülke tarımı için tarihi öneme sahip vizyoner bir projenin finaline ev sahipliği yaptı. Genetik Kaynaklar Kulübü tarafından yürütülen ve T.C. Gençlik ve Spor Bakanlığı’nın ÜNİDES programı kapsamında desteklenen "Niğde İli Genetik Kaynakları Farkındalık Projesi", düzenlenen görkemli bir kapanış toplantısıyla başarıyla tamamlandı.

On Monday, May 5, 2026, Dr. Mehmet Kürşat YALÇIN, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies, organized an information meeting for students of Şehit Fazıl Doğruöz Vocational Technical Anatolian High School to introduce the faculty and contribute to the students' higher education selection process. During the meeting, students were given detailed information about the faculty's academic structure, departments, educational opportunities, and application areas. The interdisciplinary education approach, practical course opportunities, and sectoral collaborations within the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies were particularly emphasized. The event titled “Agricultural Transformation with Artificial Intelligence and Autonomous Systems” was held at the Martyr Ömer Halisdemir Congress and Culture Center of Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University. The event was attended with great interest by over 300 high school students and teachers, as well as Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University staff, academics, and students.

Bal Ormanı Ağaç Dikme Töreni (5. Etap) etkinliği, çevre bilincinin artırılması, sürdürülebilir doğal kaynak kullanımının teşvik edilmesi ve arıcılık faaliyetlerine katkı sağlayacak bitki varlığının artırılması amacıyla düzenlenmiştir. The Iftar dinner organized by the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies on February 27, 2026, was held to strengthen the feelings of unity, togetherness, and solidarity among students, academic staff, and administrative staff in the spiritual atmosphere of Ramadan.
