Institutions Where Internships Can Be Completed
✔️ Suitable Institutions and Departments
The institutions and departments listed below are directly compatible with the internship objectives of the International Trade and Logistics Department. Internships completed at such institutions are evaluated by the commission.
Logistics companies and logistics service providers (3PL/4PL companies)
→ Offers active application opportunities in the areas of storage, transportation, distribution, and supply chain management.
Foreign trade companies (import-export companies)
→ Provides professional development involving processes such as customs procedures, supply planning, and foreign trade documents.
Customs consultancy firms
→ Practical knowledge can be gained about customs declarations, regulatory applications, and border crossing processes.
Logistics, purchasing, or foreign trade departments of manufacturing companies
→ Active participation is possible in tasks such as supply planning, material management, and foreign trade organization.
International transportation companies (road, sea, air, intermodal transportation)
→ Direct application can be made in areas such as transportation organization, transportation documents, and insurance procedures.
Port operations and customs warehouses
→ Offers direct field experience in cargo management, container organization, and port operations.
Chambers of commerce, exporters' associations, professional organizations (TİM, İHKİB, TSE, etc.)
→ Participation in market surveillance, export support programs, and foreign trade information activities is possible.
Relevant departments of public institutions (Ministry of Trade, TİM provincial directorates, DMO, TOBB, etc.)
→ Offers the opportunity to observe the functioning of foreign trade and supply chain policies in the public sector.
❌ Ineligible Institutions
The following institutions and fields are not eligible for the International Trade and Logistics Department internship program. Internships conducted at such locations will not be considered for evaluation.
Cargo companies (e.g., Aras Kargo, Yurtiçi Kargo, MNG Kargo)
→ Although they have logistics infrastructure, their operational activities are generally distribution-focused and do not provide qualified professional development.
Accounting/auditing firms
→ They do not provide professional experience suitable for the department's curriculum and internship objectives.
Banks and financial institutions
→ Internship topics are mostly limited to financial transactions and customer service.
Mobile phone operator dealers, electronics stores (Teknosa, Vatan, etc.)
→ They do not have a supply chain or foreign trade department.
Real estate offices and field sales units of construction companies
→ They are not directly related to the academic content of the department.
Branch operations of supermarket chains (BİM, A101, ŞOK, etc.)
→ Operational tasks do not support the development of qualified knowledge and skills for internship purposes.
Individual businesses (cafeterias, offices, sole proprietorships, etc.)
→ Insufficient for professional training due to the absence of a corporate structure and department-based operations.
📎 Note: The internship may be divided for compelling reasons. For example, it can be planned as 20+10 or 15+15 days. In this case, a separate document must be prepared for each period.
