General Information

Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Painting was established in accordance with the Decree of the Council of Ministers numbered 2016/8562, published in the Official Gazette dated 08/04/2016 and numbered 29678, and started education for the first time in the 2019-2020 academic year with a talent exam.

 The main purpose of the painting department is to enable students to gain the necessary intellectual knowledge, technical skills and artistic vision during the eight-semester curriculum. Moreover, the department helps shape minds who can create their own artistic perspective, think analytically, make synthesis and reasoning, understand the phenomena of the era and express their artistic problematics in a unique language and who are also expected to specialize in theoretical fields such as philosophy of art, art sociology, art theories and who contribute to research. In addition to educating students with scientific thought, original identity, questioning, innovative and creative characteristics, leading these candidates to the world art environment and especially in our country will be the greatest advantage to train artist candidates who participate in artistic activities both nationally and internationally.
