Graphene

Graphene, one of the allotropes of carbon and graphene is first two dimensional materials that isolated. Graphene, consist of a honeycomb structure. Graphene has most of attractive properties such as  high electrical and thermal conductivity, durability, transparency, high surface area and lightness.  These properties make it suitable energy applications for supercapacitors, fuel cells and solar cells.

In addition to the mechanical exfoliation method, which is the first technique of graphene, graphene synthesis can be performed with many different techniques today. These techniques has advantages and disadvantages in order to high quality graphene synthesis. Chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method is one of best method in order to high quality, large scale graphene synthesis.

Graphene synthesis and applications are performed in Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University Nanotechnology Application and Research Center Graphene Laboratory. Large scale single layer doped undoped  graphene are synthesized in Graphene Laboratory.
