Program Outcomes 

PO1: Has knowledge about basic working principles and functions of all kinds of components (mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic etc.) used in trains.  Identifies and reports on all types of mechanical and electronic problems that may occur.

PO2: Recognizes the materials of the parts used in trains.

PO3: Recognizes the mechanical and electrical system / work principles of trains.

PO4: Knows the human factors and error prevention methods in terms of train maintenance and repair. Uses technological equipment (measurement, control instruments and test equipment) for train maintenance, repairing and testing.

PO5: Has analytical thinking and problem solving ability. To be able to evaluate and resolve an encountered fault situation according to the relevant train manual.

PO6: Knows the tools / tools and joining elements used in trains.

PO7: Knows the rail properties and the effect of the rail change on the train.

PO8: Has the knowledge and skills to be able to carry out activities within the scope of responsibility that are prone to team work.

PO9: Gains competence in original thinking.

PO10: Knows the types of motors used in trains and working principles.

PO11: Has the ability to use the software and hardware required by the profession, along with basic computer use knowledge. Uses 2 and 3 dimensional computer programs related to the profession adequately.

PO12: Has general computer usage knowledge, knows Word, Excell, Powerpoint programs sufficiently.

PO13: Has the ability to communicate effectively in Turkish both verbally and in writing and has at least one foreign language knowledge.

PO14: Has sufficient consensus of universality of social rights, social justice, quality culture, professional ethics, cultural values and protection of the environment.

PO15: Has knowledge and awareness of work safety, worker health and environmental protection in matters related to the field.

PO16: Has analyze the concept of career, career planning and stages, and develop a career plan suitable for themselves.
