Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University, Department of Plant Production and Technologies, began its undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs in the 2013-2014 academic year.

In our department's undergraduate program, an English Preparation Program is implemented, and the instruction is conducted entirely in English.

The Undergraduate Program of the Department of Plant Production and Technologies consists of a one-year English Preparation Class and a four-year undergraduate program comprising eight semesters, each worth 30 ECTS credits, making it a total of five years. Students exempt from the preparation class can start directly from the first year. One ECTS credit represents a workload of 30 hours for each semester.

Our department has a young and dynamic academic staff consisting of 5 Professors, 3 Associate Professors, and 3 Research Assistants. Plant Production and Technologies include sub-disciplines such as Organic Farming, Post-Harvest Physiology, cultivation, and preservation of horticultural crops, control of plant diseases and pests, organic farming, molecular genetics, soil science, and plant nutrition.
