In this course, methods of analyzing natural landscape and site opportunities with its constraints and landuse opportunities will be emphasized. Project developments will help students to understand the landscape, topography, site elements and earth volumes for sustainable site design and planning. Students will work on virtual environments to understand the ramifications of site constraints for the planning and design of development sites such as housing, traffic, parking, sport facilities, green infrastructure, hardscape and water flow. Sustainable stormwater management, in coordination with grading and earthwork calculations, is one of the main topics of this course.

3D Studio Max, which is a modeling and visualization program used in Landscape Architecture, is explained. After explaining the basic drawing commands, texture, material and light information are given and practical examples are given to create a three-dimensional model and make visualizations.
