Strengths

  1. Having a young and dynamic academic staff that is always open to improvements.
  2. Having lecturers who are experts in their fields
  3. Having good employment prospects.
  4. Having high student enrollment
  5. Adequacy of physical infrastructure and technological equipment related to education and training
  6. Ample library and e-library facilities offered to staff and students
  7. Having a strong and close relationship between students and lecturers
  8. University administration's willingness to provide the necessary opportunities
  9. Providing the necessary facilities in terms of health, sports, social assistance, solidarity, nutrition, accommodation, and transportation.

Weaknesses

  1. Insufficient level of funding per research in terms of research resources of the university
  2. Problems to be encountered in acquiring new members and enhancing professional development of the academic staff
  3. Insufficient number of lecturers
  4. Lack of Master's and Doctoral Programs


Opportunities

  1. Contributing to teaching Turkish as a foreign language within the framework of Turkish Language Teaching Certificate Programs for Foreigners
  2. Students may pursue a double major with the Special Education Teaching Program to teach English to children with special needs.
  3. Good communication and respectability with other  departments
  4. Increasing the number of our academic members in the coming years to reduce the workloads of our academic staff and to provide them the necessary conditions to accomplish their academic work.
  5. Opportunities to collaborate with other education stakeholders in European Union projects
  6. Having the capacity to cooperate with universities abroad


Threats

1. Difficulties in appointing sufficient academic staff or members leaving the department

2. Lack of funds to provide financial support for participating in scientific activities.
