He was born on 2 October 1967 in Kurucuova neighbourhood of the district of Beyşehir of Konya province. He completed his primary education in Kurucuova Primary School, and completed his middle school and high school education in Kurucuova High School, respectively.
He was granted the right to register in the Department of Turkish Language and Literature Teaching programme of Selçuk University, Faculty of Education in 1984 and graduated from this department in 1988.
On 1 February 1989, he was appointed as a teacher of Turkish Language and Literature to Konya Cihanbeyli High School. Also, he taught Turkish Language and Literature at various schools.
He was granted the right to register in the master’s programme of the Department of Old Turkish Literature of Erciyes University, Graduate School of Social Sciences in 1992 and graduated from this department in 1995.
In the same year, he was appointed as a research assistant in the Department of Turkish Language and Literature Teaching of Nigde University.
In 1997, he was assigned to France for a year to conduct research and do examination.
He was granted the right to register in the doctorate programme of the Department of Old Turkish Literature of Fırat University, Graduate School of Social Sciences in 1996 and graduated from this department in 2000.
He became as assistant professor in the Department of Turkish Language Education of Nigde University, Education Faculty in 2001, became an associate professor in the Department of Turkish Language and Literature of Nigde University, Science-Literature Faculty in 2010, and became a professor at the same department in 2015.
Bekir Çınar has four books in the name of Yusuf Halis Miftah-I Lisan, Arifzade Asım ve Divançesi, Taşlıcalı Yahya Gencine-I Raz İnceleme Metin, and Visalizade Arif ve Divanı. Also, he has many articles more than 30 published in various national and international journals, and has proceedings more than 20 presented at various conferences.
He is married and father of two children.
