1. The fact that infrastructure for laboratory and research is not sufficient
2. The fact that the number of big budget projects for practice and infrastructure is low
3. The fact that there isn’t any doctoral (PhD) program
4. The fact that the number of publication done as a result of team work is low
5. The fact that the number of academicians who go abroad by means of Erasmus is low
6. The fact that graduate students cannot find job easily
7. The fact that the city is not adequate for socio-economic conditions with respect to university

4. The fact that departments of geological engineering have been opened more than needed in all over Turkey and the quota for students are increased constantly
