Strenghts
1. The existing of the Department of Western Languages and Literature within Nigde University which is located in a region such as Cappadocia, where a year-round tourism activity establishes
2. Introduction of western culture and language to local people in the process of globalization and its positive contribution to cultural wealth and tolerance
3. Training of employees with advanced foreign language skills in a professional manner, who will be needed in each sector
4. The opportunity of our graduates to be able to find jobs easily
5. The existing of a department in which students are planned to enroll, and whose program will be created to support interdisciplinary work and to meet the needs of today
6. Being in an approach that will be shown to students by an understanding of contemporary education with a team of young and dynamic faculty members,

Weaknesses
1. The number of current faculty members and research assistants at the department of Western Languages and Literatures is insufficient
2. The number of postdoctoral staff that department needed is insufficient throughout the country

Opportunities
1. In case of a sufficient number of faculty members and staff, undergraduate and graduate programs will be opened
2. The existence of Postdoctoral teaching staff that will change the title soon
3. The existence of working peace and tranquility at the department
4. The existence of its communication with other departments in terms of social aspects and its popularity among them.
